The addition of Ethylhexylglycerin affects the interfacial tension at the cell membrane of microorganisms, improving the preservative activity of Phenoxyethanol. Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin is equally effective against bacteria, yeasts and mold fungi. It is a typically biostatic product with the biocidal properties necessary for cosmeticl use.
